"Sports Night" and "Felicity" get renewed

HOLLYWOOD (Variety) - ABC's critically acclaimed "Sports Night" and the WB's modest performer "Felicity" have been picked up for a second season, the shows' producer Imagine Television said Tuesday.

This means that all three of the series created this season by the fledgling TV operation of Ron Howard and Brian Grazer's Imagine Entertainment have been renewed. Fox's "The PJs" previously received a 22-episode order for next year.

(NBC made a 13-episode commitment for an Imagine series starring Paul Reubens, but it hasn't made it to air.)

Neither "Sports Night" nor "Felicity" has achieved hit-status ratings, but they can count on devoted fans.

"Sports Night" averaged a 7.8 rating and 12 share in homes and a 5.2/13 among the key adults 18-49 demographic. "Felicity" has averaged a 3.2/5 in homes and a 2.0/5 in adults 18-49.
