Casey wants to ask Dana out, but can't get up the nerve, but when Dana gives him just the nudge he needs, they finally kiss. Natalie is offered an on-air job in Texas which gets her and Jeremy into a fight. Isaac's forgetfulness is concerning the crew.

But when the entire system crashes during a dress rehearsal for the new millennium, everyone is left in the dark. Jeremy is relieved to find out that the whole thing was really Dana's fault.

Natalie organizes a game of Celebrities and excludes Jeremy. Dan tries to "regain his manhood" as captain of the team against Natalie, but doesn't succeed. Jeremy spends the night in the bar and gets hit on by a beautiful woman. He loses the nerve to ask her out when he finds out she's a porn star. Isaac worries about losing his memory after he forgets his grandson's name, and after bragging about his comprehensive knowledge of Broadway lyrics, struggles to remember the words to "How Are Things in Glocca Mora?" Dan finds out that he's not on the latest list of the 100 most influentail people in sports, while Casey is #92.

Danny goes to tell his therapist, Abby, that he doesn't need a session today, but he ends up telling her all about his day anyway. Danny knows that the world long jump record has been broken in New Zealand, but can't talk about it because it's on tape delay for broadcast in the U.S. Danny is disturbed that the career hopeful, while he broke the record, only held it for five minutes, because an unknown athlete came along and blew him out of the water. Danny is still jealous that Casey was named one of the 100 most influential people in sports, but Danny wasn't. Jeremy pursues Jenny, the porn star, against his better judgement. At Isaac's urging, Dana goes to church.

Dana and Casey make a bet regarding the NFL draft. Dan seems unhappy at work and takes it out on Casey. Jeremy finally tells Natalie that he's seeing someone new, but isn't honest about what Jenny does for a living. Everyone is excited about Draft Day and the fact that if it rains at Indian Wells, Sports Night not only gets to cover the first round, but the second round as well.

Dan continues to be pissy towards Casey and the rift in their relationship makes it onto air when Dan purposely improvs and asks Casey an impossible question. Dana admits to Casey that her facial injury isn't from falling down, she actually has a skin rash caused by a nervous condition. Jeremy is horrified that Jenny is coming to visit him at work when everyone is still there and makes her masquerade as a choreo-animator. She puts up with it for a little while, but when it becomes clear that he's just not comfortable with what she does, she walks out on him.

Isaac and Dana find out their Olympic coverage has been decreased due to budget cuts. In addition, there may be some serious roll-backs in the near future and Dana fears for Natalie's job. Jeremy finally tells Natalie that Jenny is a porn star when Natalie starts being condescending about their having broken up. Dan and Jeremy host a Passover Seder and Dan and Casey patch things up.

Dan hires a publicist and then is disgusted by the whole publicity process. Armed with the knowledge that her job at Sports Night is in jeopardy, Natalie gets an interview at Saturday Night Live. Although Dana tries desperately to undermind Natalie's confidence, Natalie has a great interview and gets an offer with a higher salary. Natalie can't bring herself to leave Sports Night. Casey and Jeremy decide to monitor Continental Corp's stock on the internet, and are shocked when they find out that the company is going up for sale. Isaac is sad that his grandson, Matthew, is afraid of him because of his limp and the way that he talks after his stroke.
